IIWC Pramod Lunawat Millennium Event

The India International Wedding Connections (IIWC) Experience 2025 is set to take place from March 27 to 30, 2025, in Goa, India. This exclusive event brings together wedding planners and industry stakeholders from around the world, with a focus on luxury destination Indian weddings. Hosted across five Taj hotels in Goa, IIWC 2025 will feature curated events, immersive learning sessions, and high-value networking opportunities, all set against the backdrop of Goa's rich culture and hospitality.

Organized by Millennium Event, IIWC serves as a global platform for collaboration and industry growth. In an exclusive interview with EVENTFAQS Media, Pramod Lunawat, CEO of Millennium Event and Marriageuana, shares insights on IIWC’s core philosophy, its influence on the global wedding industry, key strategies for IIWC 2025, fostering collaboration, and the emerging trends set to shape the future of luxury weddings.

What is the core philosophy of IIWC, and how does it contribute to the future of the global wedding industry beyond business networking?

Well, the core philosophy was to bring together wedding planners who focus on Indian weddings across the world on a platform where they can learn from each other, collaborate, and meet the right suppliers—such as INDIAN AND INTERNATIONAL HOTELS, CATERERS, WEDDING DECOR AND STATIONERY DESIGNERS. We are not an event where just anyone can attend; most people who come here have a single focus: Indian weddings and celebrations. This year we have about 60 hotels from 10 nations,  participating.

So, how are we contributing to the industry? First, we are bringing together people with the same core philosophy. Second, when they enter each other’s territories, they can find the right partners to get the work done and collaborate effectively. That’s how we contribute to the industry.

With destination weddings evolving, what strategies will IIWC 2025 emphasize to help wedding planners and vendors remain competitive in an experience-driven market?

We are not an organization that dictates business strategies or philosophies. Honestly, we don’t interfere with pricing or other aspects, and we don’t want to be preachy about this. Our goal is to create a platform where these professionals can come together, learn from each other, do business, and grow collectively. How they choose to do that is entirely up to them. We simply create the platform and activate it—that’s it.

In an era where exclusivity defines luxury, how does IIWC curate an immersive and high-value experience for attendees, ensuring tangible takeaways?

We focus on topics that planners might not have considered before—things like diversity, financial planning for retirement, private equity, and venture capital. These are in addition to the traditional topics we discuss, such as luxury décor.

Our idea is that wedding planners already have expertise in design and event creation; they have been practicing this for decades. We don’t need to go deep into that. Instead, we want to introduce them to aspects they don’t typically think about, such as what happens after they pass the critical age for wedding planning as a profession or how their families and future generations can take over the business. These are the kinds of discussions we are bringing to the table.

If you could predict one game-changing trend to emerge from IIWC 2025, what would it be?

The key trend would be a stronger focus on Indian weddings rather than just weddings in general. The Indian wedding industry is unique in the business of celebrations.

The way we decorate weddings, the way we curate food experiences, and the way we create entertainment experiences are vastly different from an American wedding, a Chinese wedding, or a mixed wedding. We want to bring attention back to Indian weddings as a specialized segment so that businesses see it as an area worth investing in and dedicating resources to.

Pramod Lunawat shares insights on IIWC’s core philosophy, its influence on the global wedding industry, key strategies for IIWC 2025, fostering collaboration, and emerging trends in luxury weddings.
