Art Of Living Capacity Building Commission
In a significant move to enhance the well-being and efficiency of India’s civil servants, The Art of Living Government Programs (GP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), a key pillar of Mission Karmayogi. The agreement, formalized on March 5, 2025, will integrate The Art of Living’s expertise in leadership development, stress management, and personal excellence into government training programs. The goal is to equip officials with essential skills for both professional and personal growth.
The signing ceremony was attended by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Honourable Minister of State for the Prime Minister’s Office, and other distinguished dignitaries, including Prasana Prabhu, Chairman of The Art of Living Social Projects, and Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, a senior member of the CBC. Their presence highlighted the importance of this collaboration in fostering a resilient and efficient civil service.
This partnership will expand The Art of Living Government Programs across various ministries and departments, benefiting officials from all management levels, including Group A, B, and C officers and staff. The training modules focus on leadership, stress management, and essential life skills, aiming to create a more citizen-centric administration. Given the high-pressure environment of public service, these programs provide practical tools to enhance mental resilience, decision-making, and ethical leadership.
The Capacity Building Commission, established in 2021, plays a crucial role in driving Mission Karmayogi, a reform initiative aimed at transforming India’s civil services from a rigid, rules-based framework to a dynamic, roles-based system. At the core of this transformation is continuous learning, ensuring officials acquire the necessary Attitude, Skills, and Knowledge (ASK) for effective governance. The Karmayogi Bharat Portal, an integral part of this mission, facilitates anytime-anywhere learning through digital and hybrid formats, making training more accessible and impactful.
This collaboration between The Art of Living Government Programs and the Capacity Building Commission represents a step toward a more holistic and human-centered approach to governance. By equipping civil servants with essential skills and well-being practices, it paves the way for a more agile, ethical, and service-oriented administration, aligning perfectly with the vision of Mission Karmayogi.
