The EEMA South Factor 2025 was held at Radisson, Vizag, bringing together event professionals, industry leaders, and key stakeholders for two days of discussions, networking, and knowledge-sharing.
Day 1: Grand Inauguration and Industry Insights
The event began with a welcome speech by Anupama Deshmukh, Joint Secretary South, followed by a traditional cultural dance performance. Dr. Meenakshi, EEMA South Member, inaugurated the session by inviting all women present to light the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing inclusivity and empowerment.
A keynote address by D.V. Vinod Gopal, VP South, set the stage for thought-provoking discussions. Industry experts, including Samit Garg (President, EEMA), Sagar Pingali (EVP, EEMA), Lalit Gattani, Arun from Traditions, Sonu Nanda (VP East), and Harshal Kothari (VP West), shared insights on industry trends, best practices, and challenges.
The day also featured a felicitation ceremony to recognize individuals who have contributed significantly to the event industry. The evening concluded with a magic show by illusionist B.S. Reddy, leaving the audience captivated.
Day 2: Government Collaboration and Well-Being Initiatives
The second day opened with a laser show, followed by a session from D.V. Vinod, setting the tone for the day's discussions. Samit Garg delivered a Presidential Address, offering valuable insights into industry growth and challenges.
A key session featured Amrapali Kata, IAS, Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Tourism, who highlighted the role of tourism and events in economic development. She emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and the event industry to boost destination tourism and infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.
A panel discussion on EEMA’s role in the industry was led by Sagar Pingali, Sonu Nanda, and Lalit Gattani. Sunray Resorts also presented their offerings for the experiential industry.
In an interactive session, Sushma Gaikwad, Chairperson of WeCare, spoke about well-being and inclusivity in the industry. Attendees engaged in discussions on workplace equality, sharing real-life experiences and ideas for creating a more inclusive environment.
The event concluded with a relaxing yoga session led by Taranbir Sahni, EEMA Secretary, allowing participants to reflect on the discussions and experiences over the two days.
EEMA South Factor 2025 successfully brought together over 250 event planners and 100 vendors from across India. The event facilitated meaningful discussions, learning opportunities, and industry collaboration, reinforcing its role in shaping the future of the event industry.
