Percept Live TribeVibe Freshers Fest

Percept Live has partnered with college festival circuit platform TribeVibe to launch ‘Freshers Fest’, a music event that will be hosted virtually in its first edition on 21 and 22 August 2021.

The event is meant to welcome students back to the new academic year and will feature international and domestic artistes spanning the Indie, Bollywood and EDM genres.

Over 150,000 students from 150 colleges across 40 cities are expected to attend the launch event.

The EDM genre will see artistes including Yellow Claw, Julia Bliss and Teri Miko. The Indie genre will host The Yellow diary, Taba Chake and more and the Bollywood category will feature Asees Kaur and Anuv Jain, among others.

Karan Singh, Chief Operating Officer, Percept Live, said, “Freshers Fest will offer the ultimate academic year kick-off party to every youngster returning back to college. Given the wide range of music genres popular with Gen Z today, this event has been exclusively curated to cater to their diverse tastes to feature top artistes from the EDM, Indie and Bollywood genres. While the launch edition will see a digital extravaganza featuring some amazing multi-genre artists, we are excited about our future plans to expand into multiple formats inclusive of the ‘Talent Hunt’ contest and other popular youth brand extensions. By 2025 I foresee ‘Freshers Fest’ as the ultimate college-focused music festival property which will bring the entire Indian college community together. I thank all our partners onboard with us for Fresher’s Fest.”

Shoven Shah, Founder & CEO, TribeVibe, said, “As the one-stop  solution for college events, TribeVibe has been working with partners in the industry to revolutionise the college festival circuit, connecting consumers  to brands on a common platform thus enabling engagement with Gen Z users, creating a long-term funnel of customer acquisition. After two college seasons that has seen TribeVibe partnering with over 250 colleges, putting together over 600 shows with 175 artistes reaching over 1.5 million students on-ground, the  ‘Freshers Fest’ will be the first digital festival at such a massive scale for Indian students, brands and organisers alike. We are thrilled to be  partnering with our friends at Percept along with Sunburn and Bollyboom for this festival that will see more than 150 leading colleges of India come together.”

In 2022, the festival is hoping to adopt a hybrid model, including a large-scale on-ground festival straddling music, entertainment, F&B and adventure sports, hosting music fans from over 200 colleges in 50 cities.

‘Freshers Festival’ in 2022 envisages an all India ‘Talent Hunt’ in music and entertainment, including a Campus DJ Hunt. Winners will become official DJs to perform at Fresher's Festival on Sunburn night.

Over 150,000 students from 150 colleges across 40 cities are expected to attend the launch edition on 21 and 22 August 2021.
