Spectators from all over the world streamed into Amaravati to watch the thirty-fifth edition of F1H2O World Championship from November  16 - 18, 2018 in a spectacular sporting extravaganza managed by Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Highly competitive and intensely challenging, the F1H2O World Championship is the 'flagship' international series of single-seater inshore circuit powerboat racing. This year the championship had an added attraction – with India’s very own Team Amaravati competing for the title.

Wizcraft handled the production of the event on a turnkey basis, under the strict international standard guidelines laid down by F1H2O that pertained to setting up of the paddock, broadcasting, seating, crowd management, and hospitality. The 3.5 month long planning included a City Parade where boats from all nine teams paraded the city on individual trailers.

The resident organising committee of the F1H2O Grand Prix chose Amaravati as a way of promoting water sport culture in the region, and entered into a partnership with India Xtreme Adventure Activities Private Limited as the India partner. The Banks of River Krishna had a festive atmosphere, as crowds gathered to watch not just the sporting event, but also engage in a host of activities that showcased the arts, culture and delectable cuisine of Andhra Pradesh.

Marco Pietrini, Director of Logistics, F1H2O said, “We were aware that organizing an F1H2O world championship round in Amaravati could have been a challenge. The presence of Wizcraft since the first meeting has been a breath of fresh air. I really have to commend their reliability, availability and the ability to react promptly to the few issues that arose as we were getting closer to the realization of the event, always with a smile. Their presence surely meant a great deal in the success of the event, and we look forward to working with them again in the future!”

Commenting on the championship, Sandeep Mandava, CEO India Xtreme (India partner of F1H2O) said, “The Wiz team has been meticulous with their approach, right from start to finish. As there was no precedence for this kind of event in India before, the experience of Team Wizcraft helped us understand the mandate, adapt to changes and transform them into detailed plans at a much faster pace, with a completely professional approach. Team Wiz has what it takes, and more”

Wiz Gautam Rao, General Manager, Brand Activation, Wizcraft said “It was a dream project from the start. From our initial meetings with India Xtreme and later with F1H2O, they were very clear that we leave no stone unturned in ensuring that this would be an international standard event. The AP Government was involved with AP Tourism owning Team Amaravati that were debuting in the championship, which meant the stakes were very high. The entire city administration and AP Tourism also put their might behind the event, ensuring that the venue and the city were ready for the race. We are extremely glad that all three days went off flawlessly with the drivers and visiting teams happy with the infrastructure provided. We can’t wait to have them back next year.”
