Call of Duty Mobile Tournament, Co-hosted by Activision Blizzard and Loco, Set to Boost e-Sports

Loco Activision Blizzard Call of Duty Mobile Tournament

E-sports and game streaming platform Loco from Pocket Aces has just announced its partnership with video game publishing giant Activision Blizzard to jointly host the Call of Duty Mobile India Cup tournament with a prize pool of Rs 35 lakh. This will pave the way for gamers across the country to transform the Indian gaming ecosystem at large.

Call of Duty Mobile India Cup will be live on Loco and the event will comprise two tournaments- Call of Duty Mobile India Cup Open and Call of Duty Mobile India Cup Pro. Registrations for the Call of Duty Mobile India Cup Open tournament are underway, allowing teams from across the country to sign up and compete against each other in 5v5 matches in an open qualifier format. The total prize pool is Rs 10 lakh, of which Rs 5 lakh will be awarded to the top team while the remaining will be split amongst teams between second and eighth positions.

Following the open battles, 16 qualifying teams will advance to the Call of Duty Mobile India Cup Pro and be joined by India’s top professional Call of Duty Mobile teams to play 5v5 matches in a league format. Team Mayhem and Team IND are among the top teams that have been invited for the Call of Duty Mobile India Cup Pro to level up. The total prize pool of the 5v5 matches in Call of Duty Mobile India Cup Pro is Rs 25 lakh, of which the team at first position will receive Rs 10 lakh, followed by Rs 5 lakh and Rs 3 lakh to the second and third position winners respectively while the rest of the prize pool will be shared amongst the teams between fourth and eighth positions.

To participate in the tournament, a team must have five players who comply with the tournament rules. Teams can register on the website codmindia.com. Registrations will close on January 4, 2021.

Call of Duty Mobile India Cup consists of two tournaments - Open and Pro. Teams from across the country can participate to win the prize pool worth Rs 35 lakh.
