With over 5,000 participants, Fast&Up Mumbai Walkathon concludes on a big note!

Mumbai Walkathon Fast&Up JustWalkIndia

The inaugural edition of the Fast&Up Mumbai Walkathon, organized by #JustWalkIndia, held on March 16, 2025, witnessed an overwhelming response as more than 5,000 participants took to the streets of Mumbai, celebrating the joy of walking for fitness and community bonding.

The event was flagged off at JVPD Grounds by esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Bhushan Gagrani, IAS Officer and Municipal Commissioner of BMC; Rear Admiral Anil Jaggi, Flag Officer Commanding Maharashtra Naval Area; Dhanushkodi Sivanandhan, Ex-Commissioner of Police, Maharashtra; Shilpa Khanna, CFO of Fast&Up; and Vinay Bhartia, Co-Founder of JustWalkIndia. Participants walked along a scenic route that passed by Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow, continued towards Juhu Beach, and culminated back at JVPD Grounds.

The Walkathon began with the 10KM Pro Walk at 6:00 am, attracting 42% of dedicated walkers, followed by the 5KM Family Walk at 6:20 am, which saw 44% participation, and the 3KM Fun Walk at 6:40 am, accounting for 14% of the total walkers. A truly inspiring moment of the event was the participation of 10 individuals with prosthetic legs, who walked with unwavering determination, showcasing resilience and perseverance.

Notably, women outnumbered men in this event, comprising 52% of the participants across all categories. The Walkathon also recorded an impressive collective effort, with participants taking over 44,000 million steps in total. The Fast&Up Mumbai Walkathon successfully promoted fitness, inclusivity, and the benefits of walking as a lifestyle. The success of this inaugural edition sets the stage for even bigger and better future editions, fostering a stronger culture of health and wellness in the city.
