Television content is always looked at in a very exciting manner. Every creative person wishes to be aspired to create content for television. And in the quest, Éclat is sharpening all the skills they need to make the best out of the opportunity when it comes.

At Éclat, the last few years have been nothing but upskilling ourselves to be doing television.
Éclat has been responsible for producing events that are nothing short of experiences, podcasts, corporate films, brand films, content for social media (including 3d, CGI and anamorphic) and much more. And finally, after knowing it all and doing it all, Éclat is happy to share that they have started off on the journey to produce content for television. Éclat got the opportunity to partner with Mirchi to pull together a turnkey project: SpellBee.

SpellBee is India's largest spelling competition that invites children from 5 to 16 years to battle for the grand title of being India’s Spelling Master.
This edition of Spell Bee took place in the city of joy- Kolkata. However, planning and pulling off such a project has its own challenges. With very short timelines when the project was finally handed off to us to deliver, Éclat meticulously planned all its aspects right from the concept of the show, picking the venue and its coordination, designing and fabricating the set, getting the technicals right for airing on TV channels to putting together the best crew to manage the production of the show. They were also responsible for scripting as well as post-production which involved live creative direction to the final output that was aired on Jio and Nickelodeon.

Apart from this, Éclat’s creative team worked days and nights to produce bespoke content for the set screens to ensure every segment of the show had its custom content and kept building the thrill for the viewers. A 13-unit multi-cam setup was deployed strategically to capture all the key moments—the emotions, the tension, and the excitement of the live audience, participants & grandeur of the show within the stipulated time Éclat had. This was not the ideal studio setting where they get to have multiple takes with experienced actors.

Now, while all this might look check listed, imagine working with 52 children instead of full-grown adults. This was a true mammoth of the task. But after years of experience with artists, talent and crowd management, Éclat’s team has developed the patience and understanding it takes to adapt to children too. A couple of crew members brought out their parental instincts to manage the children while the majority of them kept a smile and worked with patience.

With this project, Éclat is more than thrilled to venture into the world of television and produce more content for the small and large screens.
