On May 15th, 2019, a new era of connected mobility in India began with the launch of MG Hector – India’s first internet car. The car was unveiled at a glittering event managed and produced by Seventy Event Media Group [70 EMG] at Mumbai’s JW Marriott Sahar Hotel.

With focus on its key pillars of Diversity, Community, Experiences, and Innovation – MG as a brand has been focussing on creating interactions with consumers. The brand has so far focussed on building disruptive and differentiated experiences. Experiences drive largely what the brand plans to do over the next few years to engage and find new grounds with Indian customers. 70 EMG has been involved with MG since the brand made its way to the Indian shores last year. Through a string of activations such as roadshows, airport experience zone, and dealer activities, 70 EMG has driven MG’s brand purpose of ‘enabling exciting experiences every time’.

“We’ve come a long way on our journey with MG Motor India. Being the agency for them, we started working on the brand since its inception in India – starting with dealer invite events, community-led events, press announcements, and multi-city roadshows to create brand awareness. All of this will lead to the mega event everyone had been waiting for – the launch of the MG Hector. With the support and belief of team MG, we’ve always pushed boundaries when it comes to design and this was exactly the brief for this time as well. We knew it wasn’t going to be easy but our vision on what is needed by the client was clear, and with this came the direction for the design and the unveiling. We designed a multi setup of the LED screen for the launch; this helped us in showcasing varied content and divide it appropriately,” said Sushant Arora, Managing Director - 70 EMG Delhi.
