Prague has significantly expanded its event venue offerings over the past year, with several newly opened spaces catering to both small private gatherings and large-scale conferences. At least five additional projects are set for completion in the coming years, increasing the city's total event capacity to at least 6,500 attendees and introducing 1,000 new hotel rooms. These developments are not only beneficial for event organizers but also enhance Prague’s cultural and gastronomic scene for local residents.

Since early 2024, several new venues have been introduced, further diversifying Prague’s meeting spaces. One of the most notable projects is the reconstruction of the Prague Exhibition Grounds. Although the full renovation of the Industrial Palace is still underway, the site already boasts new features, such as the green roofs of the Křižík Pavilions and the renovated Nová Spirála Theatre, which together can host up to 4,500 guests. Nearby, the Prague Planetarium is expected to reopen in summer 2025 with state-of-the-art LED dome technology and a total event capacity of 700 people. Additionally, the historic Šlechta Restaurant is set to reopen after renovation, offering three dining spaces, an outdoor promenade, and a gazebo for events.

Another major development is the extensive reconstruction of the Holešovice Market Hall. By the end of 2025, the historic Slaughterhouse Exchange will be transformed into a restaurant called Burza, accommodating 300 guests. Renowned catering companies like Ambiente will also establish restaurants in the market area. The Together gastro alliance has already launched the country’s largest Mexican restaurant near the market, providing seating for up to 300 patrons. Meanwhile, Michelin-star enthusiasts can visit Restaurant 420 in Old Town Square, which has been welcoming guests since January 2024.

A unique addition to Prague’s event scene is the newly renovated Art Nouveau halls in the Fanta building at the main railway station. These halls, once restaurants and waiting areas, now serve as conference spaces with a combined capacity of nearly 600 attendees. The site also features a small lounge and the Foyer Café. Another railway-themed venue, Station 6 in Bubeneč, has been transformed into a bistro and community space, available for smaller events of up to 200 people.

Prague’s event landscape is also embracing interactive experiences. The Mozart Interactive Museum in Malá Strana allows event organizers to incorporate advanced technology into their gatherings. In 2027, the Hydropolis educational center will open at the former Vinohrady Waterworks, featuring a water-themed exhibition, a public water park, and a meeting hall for 160 delegates.

In addition to event spaces, Prague’s hotel sector is growing rapidly. Recent openings include the W Prague Hotel on Wenceslas Square, which offers 161 rooms and three event spaces, and The Cloud One Hotel near Masaryk Railway Station, featuring 382 rooms and two event venues, including a rooftop bar for up to 160 guests. Several more hotels are set to launch in 2025, including the Fairmont Golden Prague Hotel with 320 rooms and conference facilities for up to 600 people, the Sir Prague Hotel with 76 rooms, and the Akroterion complex in Železná Street, which will include luxury accommodations, a spa, and conference facilities.

These developments reinforce Prague’s status as a premier destination for business events, cultural activities, and luxury hospitality, ensuring that the city remains a top choice for event organizers and visitors alike.
