Hyundai Launches ‘Venue’ a Made in India SUV on the Indian Passenger Ship Angriya

Dedicated to the memory of Sarkhel Kanhoji Angre, the first Admiral of the Maratha Navy, Angriya has now effectively launched ‘Venue’, India’s first made in India SUV by Hyundai, at a glamourous function in the middle of the Arabian sea. The event was conducted by Encompass events for Angriya cruise. For the very first time, a vehicle is being launched on a passenger ship at mid sea in the history of automobile as well as seafaring.

With this, Angriya has successfully demonstrated its value and advantage of being a high-end setting for product and service launches, corporate events and off-site venture openings on the Mumbai Goa circuit.

Reactivating the Mumbai – Goa sea route after a gap of three decades and providing an alternative mode of fun and experiential travel, Angriya this time was successfully converted into a launch pad exclusively for Hyundai catering to national and international delegates of Hyundai. Passengers also include media persons, technical experts, and dignitaries who sailed on the special Mumbai-Goa voyage.

The launch and voyage included the unveiling of the new SUV ‘Venue’ at mid sea, a specially choreographed dance and music performance, press conference and an array of sea-based activities highlighting the Konkan region, its cuisine and culture and this famous sea route.

Passengers also get to experience the grandeur of the sea, taste exemplary cuisine and enjoy an Indian ambience on board this first Indian domestic cruise ship.

Living it up to its Voyage of Wows, tagline, Angriya strives to create varied voyages with a must sail experience journey that one must embark on, as part of the 2019 bucket list, whether with family or for business.

Currently undertaking voyages on alternate days on the Goa-Mumbai route, Vice Chairman of Angriya Leena Kamat Prabhu has stated “Angriya is now also open for social and corporate events at high seas and anchorage for complete or part charter.”
