Technology at events in the recent past has paved the way for event innovations and audience engagement in the modern events landscape. An event without a technology ‘wow’ factor today fails to keep the audiences interested. Thriving on the conceptual importance of event tech and everything ‘new and inspiring’ to event professionals, Event Show Asia hosted its first edition in Mumbai on April 25th, 2018 at Hotel Sahara Star.

A joint initiative of EVENTFAQS Media and the Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA), Event Show Asia was unveiled last year and hosted its first leg at the WOW Awards Asia 2017 in Delhi. This particular edition of Event Show Asia in Mumbai was the first time when the show was being hosted in the financial capital of the country in its complete format.

A day packed with insightful panel discussions, technological exhibits, and spectacular entertainment, Event Show Asia Mumbai was supported by Living Liquidz, who came onboard as the title partners of the event. This edition, hosted 16 exciting showcase partners that exhibited some of the coolest technological engagements.

Interestingly, another massive highlight of the Living Liquidz Event Show Asia Mumbai was the coming together of the entire events fraternity to pledge for safety at events. The pledge summarizes the highest priority of safety during event planning and execution which has emerged as a massive concern in the Indian events business following the multiple incidents of safety failures at events lately.

The pledge ceremony witnessed high attendance from pioneers of the event and entertainment Industry. Right from Brian Tellis - Co-Founder & Group CEO, Fountainhead MKTG to Viraf Sarkari - Co-Director, Wizcraft International; Sameer Tobaccowala - Chief Executive Officer - ‎Shobiz Experiential Communications; and Siddharth Ganeriwala - Founder & Director, Aura Integrated Solutions and other members from EEMA came together and pledged to think safe, act safe, and be safe. They pledged to ensure ‘Safety First’ at all their events and experiential endeavours.

The platform also hosted a special panel discussion on Safety at Events in Real terms: ‘Where to Begin’ which was moderated by Viraf Sarkari. Among the panellists were Ajit Thakkar - Director, Jess; Vaibhav Kapoor - Third Wave Solutions; Manish Mavani – Director SnL Pro; and Warren D’souza – Director, Sound.com. The panel deliberated and contributed to key points which EEMA as an association and its members can implement to ensure events safety.

Following a day complete with throught provoking learnings and mind boggling technology, Event Show Asia completely changed pace in the evening and transformed into a night of gala celebration. The global music giant Sony Music launched the much-awaited EP of India’s first experimental alternative rock band ‘The Yellow DIARY’- called MARZ at the Event Show Asia in Mumbai with 3 songs that took the audiences by surprise.

Announcing the release, Rohan Jha, head of Pop commented, “The Yellow DIARY is one of the unique talents that we signed so far. The band is a perfect combination of a distinct young sound and mature, soulful lyrics. The Marz EP will surely strike a chord for its soul and sound, and we expect the audiences to connect deeply with The Yellow DIARY.”

The band jointly added, “We are extremely thrilled, this is the beginning of our musical journey where we present the sound to our listeners. We have waited long to put this out and it is finally happening, we are all set to shoot the video that will be out soon.”

The all-boy band's members hail from varied backgrounds but have one thing in common -- their passion for music. With a blend of electronic music and rock, they are touted to be a composition powerhouse.

All in all, the debut edition of Event Show Asia in Mumbai packed a punch with incredible knowledge sharing and sensational exhibits and entertainment.
