Mumbai to Host 5th IDEX Legal Awards & 13th Legal Counsel Congress; Presented by Thomson Reuters

The 13th edition of The Legal Counsel Congress and 5th edition of IDEX Legal Awards will be hosted at The St. Regis, Mumbai on April 22, 2016. Consistently acknowledged as the gold standard of legal events, The Legal Counsel Congress (LCC) brings together top legal decision makers from the country and the region.

The Annual Indian GC Gathering (LCC Mumbai) is presented by the leading global legal technology provider Thomson Reuters, along with Gold Partners Ropes and Gray and IndusLaw; Silver Partners FTI Consulting, Rajah, and Tann and Trilegal; Talent Partner Vahura and Workshop Partner Eversheds.

The LCC provides a 360 degree platform for the legal fraternity and focuses on critical topics such as team management, hiring and retention, leadership and growth of the GC along with key discussions on the contemporary legal landscape in India and neighbouring countries. 

The Congress starts with a panel session moderated by Kenneth Tung - General Counsel of Lex Sigma, supported by notable GC’s like Jan Eckert - Group Legal Head of ZF Friedrichshafen; Nandita Khurana - Zone Director of Michelin; Saugata Chakravarthy - General Counsel of Siemens, and Deepak Jacob - President and General Counsel of Star India Pvt. The LCC will be followed by the IDEX Legal Awards (ILA), recognised as the most credible and bonafide legal awards in the region acknowledging and celebrating excellence amongst in-house legal departments and law firms in India and overseas.  In its fifth edition this year, the ILA’s are the most demanding awards in the industry.

The ILA’s are focused on being on par with the leading global legal awards and is unique in clearly identifying in-house legal departments, corporate counsels, managing partners, partners, and law firms that have achieved excellence in their specific roles. The senior global jury panel for the awards is headed by the esteemed Mysore Prasanna.
