Ekamra Sports Literature Festival returns with is 6th edition to New Delhi

The Ekamra Sports Lit Festival (ESLF), an annual sports literary event, is back with its sixth edition to be held at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on November 23, 2024.

Leading the way in celebrating the written word that intersects sports and literature, ESLF brings together athletes, authors, and sports enthusiasts. Over the past five seasons, the Fest has hosted over 125 speakers and garnered a cumulative online reach of 22 million views.

Through the editions, the festival has hosted Olympic gold medalists, bestselling authors, India’s leading athletes and leading voices in sports governance and athlete development creating a dynamic platform for sharing insights and fostering a deeper appreciation for the power of storytelling in the realm of sports.

Prominent attendees through the seasons include Neeraj Chopra, Ajinkya Rahane, Vinesh Phogat, Ben Johnson, Stephanie Rice, Jeff Thomson and Booker prize winner Shehan Karunatilake. Season 6 will feature an array of international authors and significant book launches.

Sundeep Misra, Festival Director said, “We believe Sports Is Best Read. In fact, that is our tagline. The Festival has travelled across Bhubaneswar, Gurugram, Toronto and this year we are in the national capital. The attempt in this season is to argue through difficult subjects like lack of inclusion, gender bias and at the same time celebrate books that have taken authors into uncharted territory.”
