The Lions Crew, an Indian group of 8 young dancers from underprivileged backgrounds supported by BookASmile are the sole Indian representative among over 55 nations worldwide at the prestigious World Hip Hop Dance Championship 2023, held at Phoenix, Arizona.
The Lions Crew, a talented group of hip-hop dancers from Thane, Maharashtra, has achieved a remarkable feat by qualifying for the semi-finals for the coveted global platform for hip-hop. The dance group has been setting new standards in the world of hip-hop, captivating audiences with their electrifying performances. Under the guidance of their talented choreographer and coach, Balaji Kamble, the crew members – Abhishek Pawar, Bhushan Pawar, Jayesh Bhoir, Saybaj Shaikh, Sushant Pawar, Sanath Kolhe and Rahul Gorme, all in between the age groups of 21 and 30 years have been working hard for years now to reach this momentous milestone.

The World Hip Hop Dance Championship took place from July 31 to August 6, where The Lions Crew competed alongside 67 dance groups, featuring the best dance talent worldwide.
