The Wedding Connections executed a three-day ‘royal’ wedding for Sumedha and Divyansh from 12 to 14 March 2021 at the Hotel Fairmont, Jaipur.

Following the strict set of safety measures mandated for the pandemic, the event saw the family being joined by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot and yoga guru Baba Ramdev.

The wedding was all about flowers and dream catchers at charbagh (quadrilateral garden) for the celebration of each function.

Celebrations began with a welcome terrace dinner with starry lights as the decor theme.

This was followed by the mehendi ceremony, where the rooftop was set up like a carnival with fluorescent colour-themed aesthetics. An entryway with colourful floral craft pieces led to the picturesque highlighting of the couple's initials surrounded by flowers, tassels and pom-poms in all colours of the rainbow.

Post sundown, the sangeet night was hosted in the lawn, studded with flowers, dramatic lights, and huge chandeliers. The function was hosted by anchor Roz Sardana and singer-performer Suryaveer entertained the guests.

The tel baan and haldi function themed in yellow hues was set up by the pool. This was followed by the ceremonies like sehrabandisafa tying, baraat assembly and baraat nikasi. For the baraat, a special lot of Dholis were called from Ganganagar. Nazaqat, Baraat Lawazma and Jiya Band made the guests dance to their beats.

A huge lounge area was ornamented with white backdrops and sofas for the milni ceremony. Antique-looking pieces adorned the place to enhance the royal look of the traditional destination wedding.

Finally, the traditional Indian wedding décor for the couple was set up by the poolside with a prim setting above the pool deck for the varmala ceremony. Each decor piece to the furniture, everything was chosen to match the royal theme. The fresh flowers decorated in heirlooms and tikri mirror work offered glimpses from a palace.

The highlight of the wedding was the 24 feet mandap with a handmade flower chandelier by Ferns and Petals.

Amit Hooda, Founder and Director, The Wedding Connections, said, “We at The Wedding Connections set the ladder on the firm base of planning then forge ahead with subsequent tasks.
