Sunburn Festival Percept Live
Percept Live, creators of Sunburn, announced ‘Sunburn for Goa’, a virtual music festival to promote Goa and raise funds for Covid19 relief in the State earlier this month. The event will be streamed live on 29th August 2020 and all proceeds from the public will be routed to the Chief Minister's Covid Relief Fund - Goa, it was revealed.
Besides DJ-duo Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike (DVLM) who will be seen playing from Belgium, organisers have now revealed that five other artistes will be performing from different locations in Goa. The event will be live-streamed on Facebook from 5 pm, hosted by Miss Malini.
A ‘Donate’ button on the ‘Sunburn for Goa’ Facebook page will enable guests to donate directly. The donation link is www.sunburn.giveindia.org. People can also donate via cheque made out to: GOA STATE COVID-19 RELIEF ACCOUNT.
A statement from organisers noted that every year, Goa gets about 10 million visitors from India and 1.5 million from abroad. Due to the restrictions on travel due to the pandemic, the State has taken a major hit as 40 percent of its population depends on tourism and 40 percent of the State's total revenues are generated from the sector, it added.
In a separate statement, Magic Moments Music Studio – from the house of Radico Khaitan – announced its association with Sunburn for the fund-raising event.
“We have been associated with Sunburn for four years now. It gives us immense pleasure to partner with them for this global initiative as this is our chance to give back something to the state from where the Sunburn journey began in 2007,” said Amar Sinha, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Radico Khaitan.
With the powerful combination of Sunburn, DVLM, and Facebook, the event is expected to witness an aggregate reach of 100 to 150 million people, the Radico Khaitan statement said.
The event will be streamed live on 29th August 2020 and all proceeds from the public will be routed to the Chief Minister's Covid Relief Fund - Goa, it was revealed.
