A four-day long celebration commemorating the 69 years of Rajasthan’s foundation reached a fitting finale with a spectacular Closing Ceremony conceived, designed and produced by Showtime Events in tandem with local partner, Impressive Events on March 30, 2018. The venue was the imposing Janpath with the spectacular façade of the Vidhan Sabha as the backdrop.

In keeping with the State & Central Government’s focus on the girl-child, the entire event was amazingly anchored by a 12-year old girl who used a crystal ball to knit the past, present, and future of Rajasthan together and demonstrate how a New Rajasthan was seamlessly integrating itself into the Prime Minister’s vision of a New India.
Rajasthan’s very own folk singer, Kutle Khan graced the occasion with a live performance on stage singing the State anthem, Jai Jai Rajasthan along with over 100 school children, that provided the perfect opening for the story of the pride and splendour of the state and its ambitious plans for the future. The performances unfolded in 3 chapters with traditional and contemporary dance acts using a combination of very different props – from colourful lit-up orbs, to digitally-lit boards and solar panels, finally culminating into a magnificent projection mapping story on the façade of the Vidhan Sabha.

The Ceremony was presided over by Smt. Vasundhara Raje, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan while the Chief Guest on the occasion was Shri Kalyan Singh, Hon’ble Governor of Rajasthan. The event saw participation from a live audience of over 25,000 people. The evening concluded with a spectacular fireworks show at Janpath.
Check out some splendid moments we captured from the event in the gallery below.
