Maximus and Petroleum Conservation Research Association Launch Saksham Cyclothon 2018

Maximus MICE and Media Solutions, a leading event management company crafted the inaugural Saksham Cyclothon Mumbai 2018. India’s Premier Saksham Cyclothon is an initiative by Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India along with Oil & Gas PSUs to make citizens of Mumbai aware of the conservation and effective utilization of petroleum products.
Mumbai city will witness more than 5000 cyclists participate across various categories. The Cyclothon will commence on February 25th, 2018 at P.J. Hindu Gymkhana and Wilson Gymkhana Grounds, Marine Lines, Mumbai.
The key highlight of the event are six categories of cycling – 58km Elite Men, 38km Elite Women, 28km Amateur MTB and Hybrid for Men & Women, Amateur MTB Road Bike Men and Women and 8km Green Ride. There will be no registration fee for the Green Ride and elite participants whereas Amateurs will be charged INR 700 inclusive of GST. Price money of 10 lakhs has been announced by PCRA across various categories. Amateur participants will receive a finisher medal while the others will get an online certificate along with refreshments, free photos and Kits consisting of Helmet, T-shirt, Sipper, Bibs and Wrist Bands.
To encourage keen cyclists to register and enhance their experience for the final day, three Promo Rides have been organized across different locations of the maximum city. Through this unique initiative, amateur cyclists will learn from professional trainers, cycle for a cause and bond through cycling to gear up for the final day.
Speaking on the occasion R K Ahuja, Director Project Secretariat, PCRA said “We are delighted to start our association with Maximus. Our initiative to conserve fuel for our future generation will inspire people to change for a better lifestyle, lives and the nation.”

Over 5000 cyclists will hit the road to support fuel conservation on 25th February 2018.
