Percept ICE Manages the Inauguration of the Iconic Metro INOX in Mumbai

Percept ICE, the Special Projects, Events and Conventions Company of Percept Limited, bagged the mandate of conceptualising, planning, and managing the inauguration of the iconic Metro INOX at the Marine Lines, Mumbai on November 29, 2017.
INOX Leisure, India's premier multiplex chain, had recently announced the opening of Metro INOX at Marine Lines, Mumbai. A beloved Mumbai icon since the 1930's, Metro has played a vital part in India's glorious cinematic history. Built and originally run by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), the cinema became the Indian film industry's most famous red-carpet theatre in the 1970's, after being taken over by the Gupta family. Now, Metro INOX has opened its doors to cinema-goers who will delight in the venue's careful restoration that stays true to the legacy of the original Metro, while offering the signature 7-star luxury experience by INOX.
The Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, presided as the Chief Guest at the official inauguration ceremony at Metro INOX. The event kick started with a ribbon cutting ceremony, at which luminaries including Honorable CM Devendra Fadnavis, legendary actor Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, esteemed Producers and celebrated Directors of Bollywood Subhash Ghai, Sooraj Barjatya and Boney Kapoor along with Siddharth Jain, Director, INOX Group were present.

As a tribute to the legacy and history of what Metro INOX cinema has represented for almost 80 years, the Chief Minister felicitated the actors and directors present - legendary entertainers whose movies had premiered at this 'Theatre of History', over the years. Special screenings included 5 selected premiered movies which showcased Amitabh Bachchan's ‘Kabhi Kabhie’ (1976); Sridevi Kapoor's ‘Chandni’ (1989) and ‘Lamhe’ (1991); Director Sooraj Barjatya's ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ (1989); and Director and Producer Subhash Ghai's ‘Ram Lakhan’ (1989) The event culminated with a Vote of Thanks by Siddharth Jain.
Percept ICE’s scope of work included conceptualising, planning and managing the entire event inclusive of event setup, creating the glamorous felicitation stage, supervising the entire media announcement and showcase, set production, decor, the chief guests and dignitaries entry and exit, security protocol and arrangements and stage management. The revived and enhanced Metro INOX aims to offer its visitors the perfect venue to relax while enjoying delicious food and drinks.
