Akkado Recreates The Maratha Pride For ICICI Lombard’s Frontier Night Event

Akkado hand-crafted the ICICI Lombard Frontier Night held at JW Marriott, Pune from November 9-11, 2017 re-creating a complete Maratha celestial fort lauding the warrior efforts of the participating corporates. The event saw participation from over 200 of ICICI Lombard associates. The event deliberately held in the cultural capital of Maharashtra saw Akkado virtually transform the venue into a Maratha Kingdom, reliving the grandeur of the gone by days. 

Just as the venue, the participants too were transformed from their corporate avatar to be more suited to the regal setting. Each of the 'Frontiers' were given traditional Puneri Topis with Frontier branded broaches to accentuate the Maratha attire. The rich tradition of the Dabbawalas was re-created with personalised dabbas filled with a variety of local Maharashtrian condiments put to display as giveaways in the pre-function area. The three-day journey saw different entertainment variants curated bearing the theme of the celebration in mind.

However, Akkado's innovations began much before the actual event, right from sending the invites which were designed in the form of thematic emailers and WhatsApp videos, keeping it modern yet giving it an ancient touch, leaving participants guessing. The event kicked off on the evening of November 9 with a light hearted thematic Disco evening. Called the Jagmag Night, with a local twist. The main day of the event started with a  business conference note and culminated with the most awaited moment of the entourage, ICICI Lombard’s Frontier Award Night.

The cynosure of the event was Sugandha Mishra’s interactive and melodious performance on stage. Other high points included multiple euphonious recitals by ICICI Lombard’s very own “Sur ke Sartaaj”. The internal performances by the ICICI Lombard internal employees were no less than professionals flooring the crowd with their exhilarating talent. An addition to the 2017 edition of the event was the creation of a Frontier Anthem. Curated specially for the Frontiers, the anthem was launched during the award night with a powerful and impactful performance by a Flash Mob. The Anthem was penned down keeping in mind the glorious wins and success of the Frontiers.
