A for Pineapple Hitachi

It is often said that a happy customer is the key to every successful business and Hitachi India wanted to go a step ahead and keep not just the customers but also their families happy. Hitachi was scouting for an agency that could hold a customer business conference and provide a wholesome experience to their their families at the same time. The search ended as A for Pineapple (AFP) won the assignment in a multi-agency pitch.

The agency crafted a spectacular event that began with arranged pick up services for the customers and their families from their houses in dedicated cars and drove them down to the venue, Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Karjat. At the venue, guests were greeted with a welcome hamper that could titillate taste buds throughout the day.

Tuhin Midya – Head CS & BD, AFP said, “The duality of the objective – Keeping customers and their families happy - was critical. We started the festivities with two parallel sessions. For the delegates a ‘Tech Session’ was organized while the families indulged in ‘Fun Session’.”

The Business Session was kick-started by a high-octane, energy packed AV ‘I am Hitachi’ to keep the spirits high for the day. This was followed by few interesting sponsor presentations. The agency had planted various touch-points and organized activities around the key theme ‘Transformation’.

Post tea break, the agency planted a group of performers, as delegates, in the guest tables, without their knowledge. Five minutes into the session, AFP started the music and one-by-one their performers stood up and danced forming into a Flash Mob that took the audience by shock and surprise. The guests were excited and yet were communicated about the objective (Transformation) in an entertaining way.

There was a lot in store for families as well as activities such as grooming sessions, dance, and kid’s games kept them busy. Various outdoor games like Pitoo, Lagori, Kho-Kho, Langri and Chain Chain were also organized. The big idea here was to expose kids to the wonderful outdoors and games, which does not require equipment but desire and love of outdoor. The high tea was organized at the Poolside for the delegates to get back to their families and mingle with Hitachi representatives over music and sumptuous finger food.

The evening session “Bollywood Tadka’ started with a bang as Bollywood props added more flavor and bling to the event. The highlights were captured in the Photo-ops in Bollywood style for each family, which was framed in branded photo jackets. To get the two set of audience together, a Drum jam was organized. The audience was so energized and excited with the activity that the agency and brand decided to extend the 15-minute activity into an hour activity. Post that a noted Singer made the audience dance to her tunes and dazzled the evening.

After witnessing the childlike joy in the elders and enthusiasm of the families in the drum jam, the agency decided to surprise the guests by placing drums in all the guest’s room as memorabilia of the happiness by Hitachi.

The goodbye to the event was kept easy and natural with organic personal care items being distributed as giveaways. The next morning, guests were energized with a box cricket that kept the cricketing fever live and ended the conference and family outing on a high.
