US Embassy Celebrates American Music for US Independence Day Celebrations

US Embassy Salt Experiences and Management Hotel Andaz

Salt Experiences and Management was responsible for executing the US Independence Day Celebrations for its client, the US Embassy, at Hotel Andaz, Aerocity, New Delhi on June 29.

Celebrating a year of travel and tourism through American music from Detroit (Motown), Nashville(Country), New Orleans(Jazz) and Memphis(Blues) was the overall theme for the event. To integrate the theme through the events, Salt created a four-zone setup that spoke the language of these four cities. Taking cues from the historical elements, city life and streets of each city, a larger-than-life canvas was created which represented the specific genre of music that each city is famous for. Apart from this, the music and food were curated to create a holistic experience for the guests.

The production time available was only 16 hours for a setup of such magnitude, and Salt had to literally run against time and battle adverse monsoon conditions to successfully deliver it to the embassy. The venue also needed to be kept ready for security checks five hours ahead of the event time. Despite these challenges, Salt executed the event seamlessly. The client was highly appreciative of the team’s professionalism and the strict schedules that were met by the team.

The show opened with a performance by the USAF Band of the Pacific, followed by speeches from the Guest of Honor and the CDA. The USAF played the Indian National Anthem which was followed by the American Anthem. The guests were wowed by their stunning performances. The show flowed smoothly, with each zone activated by the corresponding music.
