Hitachi IT Systems’ Annual Sales Meet — Shori 2017 — was conceptualised and executed by Maximus MICE and Media Solutions in Dubai from April 14 to 18.

Shori means Triumph in Japanese, and the trip was a perfect blend of business and leisure. Delegates were welcomed with a dinner that was arranged at Club 119. Club 119 comprises of a nightclub indoors and a poolside outdoors, which made it the perfect place to kick off the event.

The second day of the itinerary featured the Conference, Awards and Gala Dinner that took place at the newly opened Metropolitan Hotel which is located in the heart of the city on Sheikh Zayed Road. The magnificent Al Shindagah Ballroom hosted around 150 delegates and 15 of Hitachi’s partners for the conference, followed by an Awards Night and Gala Dinner. The Conference was packed with action, and the Gala night saw employees of Hitachi IT Systems put up incredibly stylish, enthusiastic and heart-warming performances that were full of theatrical flair contributing to the fabulous ambience of the night. This was also used as a platform to announce the next year’s targets which positively brought about a roar amongst the teams.

The third day of the trip began with a city tour around the most well-known photo stops of Dubai: Burj Al Arab, Atlantis the Palm, Jumeirah Beach, the Dubai Marina and the Dubai Museum.

The day gradually moved on to the most adrenaline pumping experience of the entire trip, which was the Desert Safari. The Safari saw 25 Toyota Land Cruisers convoy the team from the Hotel to the Red dunes of Al Lebab Desert, first for Dune Bashing and then to the Desert Camp where a private section was set up for them, where they could enjoy dinner along with some delightful performances.

At the camp, the guests indulged in ATV bike adventures and camel rides, posed for pictures in Arabic costumes and bought some local authentic sand art as a souvenir of this unforgettable offsite.

On managing this offsite, Reema Badiani, Assistant Manager - Client Servicing, Maximus MICE and Media Solutions remarked, “Maximus pioneers the art of executing MICE Events and this Event is yet another example of it. To see Hitachi Employees from across the country come together, entertain each other while making memories in the process and to be a part of that journey was highly motivating, leading to us making memories with them. Their energy throughout the duration of the offsite, even after sleepless nights was infectious enough to inspire us to work towards making each day more special. This is our second year of working with Hitachi and we look forward to working with them year after year.”

Managed by Maximus MICE and Media Solutions, the offsite took place from April 14 to 18 and included a conference, Awards Night and Gala Dinner.
