Magical, creative masterpiece, finesse in choreography and sheer elegance in setup are the words that the brand and audience had to say at the end of the Benetton India’s Fall Winter Collection Preview for its Traders and Partners. Toast Events was chosen as the event partner through a multi-agency pitch basis the ideas, creative direction and the way it was packaged.
The event was held at Hyatt Regency, Manesar on February 7. With an audience of over 300 people, the event featured 106 looks put together, showcasing them in different moods whilst bringing alive the character of each ensemble – this is what the event was all about.

Hosted by Archana Vijaya, the event started with a business presentation from the CEO of Benetton India, Sundeep Chugh, who took the entire audience through business plans, innovation and what the FW’17 collection has to offer. This was followed by a quick interaction with Creative Director Neeraj Sachdeva, who took the audience through the inspiration behind the collection, the character and the thought process behind the new Fall Winter collection.

Post the presentations, the next sequence started with what everyone had been waiting for- the Benetton FW’17 collection showcase. From lights to music, from choreography to models character and the collection transition from one sequence to another, everything was just perfect. Textured lights created model silhouettes to showcase the collection with bright lights, bringing alive the mood of each product category; this along with the music chosen for the show made the event really stand out.

Starting the fashion sequence from Atheleisure to Casual and then Semi-dressed to Dress up collection showcased the transition beautifully.

Another major difference to the show sequence was the kind of props used for the show, be it kids carrying balloons for the Casual category or the Champagne glasses being carried by Adult models for the Dress Up collection. Followed by these 106 looks presented by a total of 50 models, an amazing musical extravaganza was put together by twin sisters, Prakriti and Sukriti Kakar, who made audience shake a leg to Bollywood numbers while the Bar was opened.

Commenting on the event, Sandeep Misra, Creative Head - Toast Events said, “The time stopped for each one present at the show and took everyone with a surprise when the Garden of Lights installed on the top of the stage came down for the finale sequence of the fashion show. The choreography sequence and the play of lights for finale added to the entire show. This is the idea that took us through to win the mandate as the Venue transformation post the business presentations is what made the difference for the brand as well. We all were excited about this idea since day 1 when we sat with the client at the Drawing Board.”
Gautam Mehta, Operations Manager- Toast Events spoke about the challenging time constraint to complete the setup. “We came to a general consensus, post having long meetings with Creative team and the client to make it happen with a lot of changes in designs while maintaining the aesthetics of the Garden of Lights Installation intact. Numerous trials at the vendor’s workshops, pre-fabrication of most of the elements helped us save time which we invested to put the motorized mechanism on the show day and meticulous planning with Vendors & the Hotel ensured that the event goes off smoothly.”

A magical evening by Toast Events ensured that the 106 looks put forth by 50 models really stood out with creative lighting, well-selected music and props to bring out the mood of each ensemble.
