Make in Odisha Conclave Sees Laser Show and Odissi Fusion Dance; Brings in 2.3 Lakh Cr. Investment

Make in Odisha Prelude Novel Ventures CII
Prelude Novel Ventures (PNV) organised the grand inaugural of ‘The Make in Odisha Conclave’ held from November 30 to December 1, 2016, with a spell-binding laser show showcasing the manufacturing prowess of the state, as well as a fusion flash mob by 210 dancers depicting the rich culture of Odisha.
The conclave was a mela for mega investors, held for the first time in the Eastern region and organised in association with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Government of India and CII where 100 companies participated and around 2.3 lakhs crore investment was generated.
The Laser show was one of the main attractions at the event, showcasing the vision of the event in a creative manner, projecting Odisha’s conducive policy and regulatory environment for tremendous investment opportunities across focus sectors.
The flash mob performed by 210 dancers was specially choreographed by famous Odissi dancer Aruna Mohanty, Founder of Odisha Dance Academy, and portrayed Odisha’s journey becoming a smart city and an investor’s choice destination. The group also performed a dance drama which was a fusion of both classical and folk dance forms of Odisha like Gotipua, Ghoda Nacha, Odissi and Chau.
PNV also arranged a dinner hosted by Odisha’s Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for 600 delegates at Mayfair Vatika following the inaugural. Beautiful thematic dance performances by Fusion Dance group and Odisha Dance Academy were delivered. A fashion show showcasing Odisha’s textile, fabrics, handlooms and craftsmanship by NIFT designers and Utkalika fabric house in indo-western style was also arranged by PNV.
On the last day, a sea-food dinner with an Ocean Theme was organised that featured aqua blue décor and a live instrumental band against the festive cultural backdrop of Konark Festival.

The Conclave was managed by Prelude Novel Ventures and was organised in association with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Government of India and CII.
