Percept Claims it has Invested INR 110 Cr. in Sunburn Calendar’17

In a recently released public note, media giant Percept has claimed that it is investing the staggering amount of INR 110 Crores on Sunburn calendar FY’17. The note states:
On its 10th anniversary, India's premier and the leading electronic music brand Sunburn is looking at creating an array of experiences that would not only give dance music enthusiasts memories that last a lifetime but also redefine the way entertainment and live music is consumed in the country. Close to 110 crores have been invested in Sunburn 10, that owns 90% of the festival IP market share. The brand aims to grow by 30% every year with an agenda to expand in markets including Asia, Middle East, South Africa, Eastern Europe and South America.
Speaking on the development, Karan Singh, CEO Sunburn states, “We have grown by 25% this year. From a 120-crore property with 8,00,000 on ground attendance at Sunburn 9 to an estimated 155 crore property with on ground attendance crossing 1.2 million at Sunburn.”
The 10th Edition of the electronic music property is being promoted as Sunburn Hills and is slated to be held at Kesnand, Pune from December 28 to 31, 2016. Here is what you can expect from Sunburn this year-
Anthem - World No. 12 KSHMR will be creating the anthem for Sunburn 10. He will also be ending the festival grand finale on the 31st. This is the first-time Sunburn culminate on New Year Eve, providing even more reason for people to unwind at Sunburn this year.
Venue – The spanking new venue is a privately-owned 90-acre land at Kesnand tucked away on the Pune-Ahmednagar highway. Not only is it nestled amidst nature, but it is also perched over a hilltop overlooking the breathtaking city of Pune. A 30-minute ride from the main city, the venue will provide a pollution-free climate and make the winters seem more enjoyable. The organizers expect footfalls to cross over 5 lac fans from 15 different countries over 4 days!
Theme - This year Sunburn is inspired by nature, so don’t be surprised to find a décor with a lot of greens and recycled material used in what will be one of the largest setups in the history of Sunburn.
Music – Expect 150 + artists including global top grossers like Axwell Ingrosso, Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas Like Mike, KSHMR, Afrojack and Krewella, Bass Jackers, Marnik, Tom Swoon, Haywyre, Dannic, Pegboard Nerds, Christian Smith, Lucas and Steve and homegrown artists like Nucleya, Arjun Vagale, Shaan, Zaeden, Anish Sood, DJ SA, Sound Avatar, Joshi, Priyanjana and many more. For the 1st time ever in India Sunburn will introduce a new genre of music called the Hardstyle with artists like Angerfist and Miss K8. Other genres will include house, commercial, trance, deep house, psychedelic, trap, hardstyle, techno, progressive house, electronica, dubstep, drum and bass and 300 hours of non-stop music.
Stages – There are 5 stages this year with some interesting labels like District 808, Gionee, Monstercat, Ray Ban, Shaan & Friends, Soma Project, and Vinyl Ambulance. What’s more the main stage will be built with recycled materials.
Food Courts – There will be 30 food stalls around the venue to cater to diverse taste buds apart from an A-La-Carte restaurant. Festival attendees can avail pre-booked meals. There will be fewer queues at the bars since they will run on RFID cards enabling a 360-degree cashless experience.
Flea Markets – From handicrafts to artifacts from around the globe, festival attendees can indulge in some retail therapy across the 30 eclectic stalls
Fan Village- Watch out for meet and greet contests to win a chance to enter the largest Artist Village in Asia and meet your favorite DJs!
Adventure – There’s something in store for all kinds of adventure junkies from volleyball to bungee jumping to Ferris-Wheel rides to mechanical bull to rock and wall climbing to zipline and more.
Camping - Sunburn Hills boasts of one of India’s largest campsites that will give every camper a true festival vibe complete with an activity zone comprising archery, badminton, board games, card games, paintball, human slingshot, chill out zones with recliner beds and sheesha, workshop areas with experts, open air theatre, karaoke sessions over evening bonfires and barbeque. Campout packages will be sold live on partner website Cleartrip. From 2-person to 4-person tents fully furnished with linen and lighting, festival attendees will be spoilt for choice.
Afterparties - Apart from the main festival that adheres to the 10pm deadline, there will be after parties on all 4 days at multiple venues in Pune and EB phase 1 GA and VIP ticket holders get free access to these parties. Afterparties will be held at Blue Frog Pune, Miami, House of Medici, and Oak Lounge.
Concessions- Festival attendees can avail discounted services and customized packages from Spice Jet, Cleartrip.com and Ola. As the economy is battling with demonetization, festival attendees can avail the ultimate cashless experience with the tech-equipped Sunburn Smart Band, which will allow them to avail entry into the festival zone, purchase F&B and merchandise at the festival without the hassles of credit cards or cash.
