It was last year in November, when the Showtime Group had wowed global hearts with a stunning production of the India Pavilion at the CoP21 Summit in Paris. The Pavilion was widely appreciated by summit delegates for showcasing the Indian climate change story in a totally digital environment. Showtime had also managed more than 30 events over a period of two weeks during the Summit and the pavilion had also fetched Showtime the Gold for Best Exhibition Space at the recently-concluded EEMAX Global Awards 2016.

In a recent conversation to EVENTFAQS, custodians from the Showtime Group have confirmed that it has once again won the tender to recreate its magic at the COP22 Summit slated to be held in Marrakech this November.

Commenting on the win, Michael Menezes (Chairman, Showtime Group) said: “It’s heartening to see great work getting the recognition it deserves. With the India Pavilion at CoP21, we had set a global benchmark and we hope to raise the bar this time around, too.”

The 'Conference of the Parties' is the supreme decision-making body of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The 22nd Session of the Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP22) will be held in Marrakech from November 7 to 18, 2016.

The convention will focus on action items to achieve the priorities of The Paris Agreement, especially related to adaptation, transparency, technology transfer, mitigation, capacity building and loss and damages. Signatories to The Paris Agreement now have to develop their National Adaptation Plans.

The 22nd Session of the Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP22) will be held in Marrakech from November 7 to 18.
