The Jamnabai Narsee Alumni Association’s annual inter-school cultural festival, Cascade, has now reached its 24th year and will be held on August 6 and 7. Started in 1993 with over 10 schools, the festival is now considered as Maharashtra’s one of the  largest inter-school events, attracting over 5000 students from 50 of the state’s finest schools taking part in over 50 events.

The Cascade National Debate is set to take school level oratory to unchartered territory. The speakers from the academia across Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata will be put to the test in the formats of British Parliamentary Debate, Moot Court and much more.

In the build up to its landmark 25th year celebrations in 2017, C24 will see certain events elevated to an All-India level for the first time.

In keeping with the concept of community, and allowing for the stage to belong to the talented, no matter where they hail from, Cascade, this year presents ‘Aashayein’, a performance-based talent hunt, organized specifically for underprivileged students, to provide them not just a platform to showcase skill and talent, but to further provide them the means and the opportunity for an equal holistic honing of their craft.

Aashayein will take place on July 16 and looks forward to hosting over 300 students from various lesser-privileged schools across the city.

Cascade has been graced with the presence of various celebrities like Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Boman Irani, Ayaan Mukherji, John Abraham, Vikram Bhatt, Kunal Kapoor, Sharman Joshi and many others.

Cascade, Maharashtra's largest inter school cultural fest, is in the 24th year, and will be held on August 6 and 7, 2016.
