Moving Heads Reliance General Insurance
Moving Heads created a unique experience at Reliance General Insurance Panorama from March 2 to 4 at Athens, Greece. The grand event had over 150 participants.
The theme of the event was to emphasize ‘Greece’ and the unique destination experience, which was the starting point of the Risk Panorama concept. Basis the same, Moving Heads created a dynamic itinerary exposing the event’s participants to the very best of Greek culture, with culmination point of the traditional local style gala dinner. The agency was also given the responsibility of complete travel and ground operations management in Athens, including Schengen visa processes, air ticketing, hotel management and on-site group logistics.

The mandate was won post a multi-agency pitch. Speaking on the win, Farhan Ali, CEO, Moving Heads commented, “It was a multi-agency pitch; the complete end-to-end plan and cost-effective solutions got us the mandate. It was also not a first international event created and delivered for RGI by The Moving Heads so we have developed a firm insight into the client’s specific requirements.”
When asked about the major innovations at the event, Ali shared, “The gala dinner took place in an environment of Greek folklore and tradition which is quite different from the usual hotel banquet halls surroundings. Hence, this time we created the aspirational value based primarily on the interaction and intense exploration of novelty, less on the standard glam effects.”
The four-day event started with a welcome dinner at an enchanting sea-facing restaurant. Post that, the group explored Athens with all the major city points and multiple activities focused on the famous Greek cuisine.
During the conference day, Moving Heads took the Acropolis down to the meeting room and re-created the look and feel of ancient Greece. Traditional gala dinner started with an interactive demonstration of Greek craftsmanship over the centuries. All the participants observed the process of olive oil making – everyone produced their own bottle of the oil, later taken back home as a useful memoir. The gala dinner flow was accompanied by local folklore artist while a traditional Greek dance troupe completed the show with a final act, which made the audience join folklore dances. The menu featured a spread of local best specialities, including bread and meats which guests could bake and roast themselves at the beginning of the evening. Towards the last day, a tour of 3 Islands was also organised on a relaxed cruise with art acts and local dishes served on board.

On the set up, Ali said, “The gala took place in a huge, restored, Greek house which we didn’t want to spoil with any extra elements. Proper set up was created for the accompanying conference – the simple, classicistic stage with two side projection screens was inspired by ancient Greece architecture.”
In terms of challenges, Ali concluded, “As we were managing the travel part as well, we have faced the challenges of Schengen visa obtaining process. Despite the short time span for the whole activity, the Moving Heads’ logistics department pulled it off and all the travelers could enjoy the destination to the fullest.”
