Life Ok Prem Ki Diwali 2015 took place on Oct 18 and 19 at Reliance Studios, Mumbai. As the name suggests, the event theme was all about love - the things that light up one’s life like love, family, colours, parties and more. The acts of the show revolved around such emotions and ideas, making the event a grand celebration rooted in tradition, yet with a modern approach. The show was conceptualised, scripted, directed and managed by Cineyug Group of Companies.
Discussing what was involved in managing the event, Mohomed Morani, Director, Cineyug said, “Diwali was a challenging show considering it was done back to back, after the Life Ok Dassehra event. Coordinating with artistes on costumes, rehearsals, and concepts was an endless process, but we put in all our efforts to make it a dazzling show. Diwali and Dusshera were executed and supported by the same team in a very short span, back to back. It was sheer handwork. Kudos to the entire team.”
The show was hosted by Karishma Tanna along with Raghav Juyal. The evening saw Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor integrate their movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, where they made grand solo entries and performed, and were even seen riding a chariot with small children in it. A spectacular display of performances were put up by some of the most known and loved dancing celebrities. Shamita Shetty along with choreographer Deepak performed a ‘light ’act which featured tubes, LED costumes, shoes and more. This act was visually stunning, and was based on a unique concept. Other performances included a Rangoli Act by Anita Hassandani and Alisha Singh. The performance symbolized the idea of ‘colours lighting up my life this diwali’, whereby the rangoli was created live on stage through their dance.
The spectacular trio Elli Avram, Mukti Mohan and Preetika Rao performed a trigalbandi act using Pataka Guddi song in 3 different dance styles depicting the thought ‘freedom and dance lighting up my life this diwali’. Also, the 13.13 dance crew from Dance Plus performed a dance act. Salman Yusuff Khan and Scarlett Wilson performed a passionate love-themed act using several props. Also, a family celebration act was performed by the three generations - Sanjeev Seth, Lata Seth, Shivin Narang, Farnaz Shetty, Akshat Singh and Teriya Magar. The evening concluded with a ‘party’ act performed by Raghav along with Sana Saeed to some popular recent Bollywood hit songs. The evening also included humorous and engaging gags by Raja Sagoo.
Life OK Prem Ki Diwali 2015 was conceptualised, scripted, directed and managed by Cineyug. The event featured performances and acts on the theme of love.
