India Gadget Expo 2015 concluded at the HITEX Convention Center in Hyderabad on Sept 21. The 4 day show was a great success with an impressive footfall of more than 30000 visitors and participants. Among the attendees were Global Investors, CEOs and Managing Directors, Technology Professionals and enthusiasts, Dealers/ Distributors, Government officials, Consumers and students.

Around 1000+ gadgets from 150+ manufacturers were showcased at the 2nd edition of IGE. The highlight of this year’s show was the Start Up Zone with 50+ innovators selected from over 400 entries. IGE 2015 also saw a 30% increase in terms of brand participation. Over 100 stalls from companies like Canon, Micromax, Gionee, Panasonic, WDC, Motorola, BMW, Mercedes etc, displayed their evolving technologies. Motorola displayed their phone out of e-commerce platforms for the first time at IGE, allowing customers to touch and feel the product. Several brands used the expo as a platform to launch their latest products as well.

The Hackathon Carnival organized by UPTEC IDEALABS and Hackmania,  saw active participation and exchange of ideas on innovative solutions. Hackers pitched their prototypes and solutions to industry leaders, investors and IT professional at the 30 hour long carnival. Prakhar Gupta and Tejashwari Darvi, final year students from BITS were declared winners for their “Transport Automator.”

The expo also saw a series of seminars on current and engaging topics highlighted by several eminent speakers. The NDTV Gadget Guru Awards were also hosted at IGE 2015.
