Kissan, a renowned brand for jams, squashes and tomato ketchups from the Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (HUL) stable, chose Nov. 14, Children's Day, to be their day of triumph as they created a new record and introduced the brand into the Limca Book of Records. In their record-setting feat, Kissan created the ‘World's Largest Jammy Art' with bread and jam at the NSE Ground in Goregaon, Mumbai. This work of art, measuring 120 x 4 ft., was created by 50 children over the course of two hours.

The Kissan Jammy Art carnival was held as a culmination of an online activity in which children created food art using the Paint application on the website, jammyart.com. Four themes were put up on the site, with each one being active for a period of 15 days. On the site, children could create and submit their drawings, which would then be voted for by friends and family. At the end of the activity, 50 winners were short-listed from across the country for the final event. These winners were flown to Mumbai, with their parents, to attend the Kissan Carnival and create history by making India's largest Jammy art.

Commenting on the activity, Harpreet Singh - Tibb, General Manager Packaged Foods, HUL said: "Kissan has been a heritage brand in providing happiness to millions of families. Jammy Art is an innovative attempt to let kids' imaginations run wild with foods. Children are creative and they showcase their creativity in many forms like painting, clay modelling, origami, etc. In an attempt to bring forth their creativity using an interesting mix of food and jams, Kissan Jammy art was created. This is a huge milestone for the brand as we enter the Limca Book of Records with the creation of the Largest Jammy Art."

Besides creating their edible art, the kids also got to enjoy yummy food, tattoo stalls, art workshops, and an online gaming section at the carnival.

Kissan celebrated Children’s Day by creating a record for the ‘World’s Largest Jammy Art’.
