When Knownsense Studios got the oppurtunity to create the story of Mumbai to be projected on an iconic structure -The GATEWAY OF INDIA on the eve of 70th Independence Day, it was not just a project but an emotional journey towards fulfilling one of our dreams. We rekindled the spirit of "Mumbai" through our perfect blend of visually marvelous animations, 3D build-ups, music and the Larger than life voice over by Shri. Amitabh Bachchan in Hindi and Shri. Nana Patekar in Marathi. Graced by the CM of Maharashtra, industrialists and celebrities, the projection show on the Gateway of India mesmerized everyone through the never heard before story of Mumbai. It depicted the story from when Mumbai was an archipelago of 7 islands to the reign of various dynasties to how the British entered this port. The show also highlighted how diverse Mumbai is and how the common man knows it today through : the contributions of political and historical figures like Shivaji Maharaj, Dr. B.R.Ambedkar, Veer Savarkar, Bal Thackeray, to Industrialists like Nusserwanjee Wadia who built the first ship, J.R.D. Tata who flew the first airlines in the country and Dhirubhai Ambani. Be it the vibrant colors of Ganapati festival, the cricket culture boosted by the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, to the biggest entertainment industry in the country – BOLLYWOOD ,to the lip smacking tastes of the assorted platter - Mumbai has it all. On the occasion of 15th August witnessing the entire journey of the city of dreams as the protagonist on the Gateway of India touched the emotional chords of the audiences. And the high note came when the tri-color unfurled on the structure which gave goose-bumps to all and made them proud about the city.
