Andhra Pradesh unveils Vision for Tourism Growth with Rs. 25,000 Crore Investment Goal

At the South Asia Leading Travel and Tourism Exhibition 2025 in New Delhi, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to strengthening the tourism sector by assuring investors of comprehensive support. He highlighted that Andhra Pradesh has officially recognized tourism as an industry, granting it the same incentives and subsidies as other key sectors.
The Minister emphasized the state's vision of attracting ₹25,000 crore in tourism investments over the next five years. He outlined a strategic approach focused on developing various tourism segments, including temple tourism, adventure tourism, eco and wellness tourism, heritage and religious tourism, agri-tourism, medical tourism, and cruise, beach, coastal, seaplane, rural, and film tourism.
Kandula Durgesh, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister, said, “Andhra Pradesh boasts an abundance of natural beauty and a rich cultural heritage, positioning it as a top destination for both domestic and international tourists. The government has introduced policies designed to attract investment, including granting industry status to tourism and extending industrial incentives and benefits.”
Durgesh also introduced the state's new Tourism Policy (2024-29), which aims to establish tourism circuits and anchor hubs, enhance world-class tourism infrastructure, and attract international tourists and tour operators.
