Echoes of Earth International AGF Awards 2025, London

Echoes of Earth, India's greenest music festival, has achieved unprecedented recognition with three nominations for the prestigious 2025 International AGF Awards, organised by A Greener Future, marking a significant milestone for sustainability in the global festival landscape.

The festival has been shortlisted in three pivotal categories: the Circular Event Award, the Community Action Award, and the Greener Innovations Award for its groundbreaking "Symphony of Seasons" theme for the 2024 edition. This recognition marks a significant milestone for sustainability in the global festival landscape.

Organized by A Greener Future (AGF), the International AGF Awards celebrate pioneering efforts in sustainability within global festivals, events, and venues. This year, 34 festivals from 14 countries have been selected, following a rigorous assessment process by AGF auditors who evaluated sustainability criteria such as circularity, energy usage, waste management, community action, and other key aspects like power, water, food, and travel.

The winners will be announced on 25th February 2025, during the Green Events & Innovations Conference (GEI17) at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.

● The Circular Event Award nomination highlights Echoes of Earth’s pioneering approach to waste reduction and resource management, reinforcing our commitment to closing the loop on resource flows through innovative reuse and recycling practices.

With circularity at its core, the festival repurposes, recycles and reuses nearly 80% of its assets, transforming discarded materials into immersive art, installations, and stages. This approach prioritizes waste prevention, material reuse, recycling, and full traceability of all resources entering and leaving the event — proving that waste can be reimagined into meaningful experiences that celebrate both creativity and conservation.

● The Community Action Award nomination recognizes Echoes of Earth’s deep-rooted commitment to social inclusion and community engagement. This award honours initiatives that foster unity, acceptance, and create a lasting impact beyond the event itself.

So far, The Greener Side initiative by Echoes has actively engaged communities to drive meaningful change across four cities — impacting over 15,000 participants through 50+ curated workshops and knowledge-led activities, while forming 50+ partnerships with conservationists, knowledge experts, and grassroots organizations to foster conservation action.

● The Greener Innovations Award recognizes outstanding innovations, initiatives, or inventions that have been game changers in the green event space.

The "Symphony of Seasons" thematics for the 2024 festival edition, nominated for this prestigious award, exemplify how Echoes of Earth has evolved over the years in the subject matter it brings to educate the community and inspire positive impact. By spotlighting endangered global species and addressing the urgent need for climate action, the festival utilizes well-researched themes to highlight sustainable practices and raise awareness about the challenges our planet faces.

Looking Ahead

As Echoes of Earth gears up for its next edition, this recognition serves as a motivation to continue redefining how festivals can be immersive, artistic, and sustainable. The festival remains committed to creating a greener, more inclusive, and forward-thinking space where music and nature harmoniously coexist.
