The Adani Group has announced plans to invest around $2 billion in the construction of Mumbai’s largest International Convention Centre (ICC), located near the Mumbai International Airport. The project has been approved by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and aims to enhance Mumbai’s role as a destination for global exhibitions, conferences, and events.

The new ICC, covering 1.5 million square feet, will offer modern amenities, including 1.2 million square feet of indoor event space, with a capacity to host up to 20,000 attendees. Additionally, an integrated five-star hotel with 275 rooms will provide accommodation for visitors. The venue’s location in Vile Parle ensures easy access, being close to the airport.

The ICC is expected to become the largest convention venue in Mumbai, surpassing the Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex, which covers 1 million square feet. It will also be a key competitor to Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, India’s largest convention centre at 3.2 million square feet. This project underscores Mumbai's growing importance as a hub for international events and exhibitions.
