Puneet Chhatwal Appointed Chairman of FAITH as Nakul Anand Steps Down

The Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH) has appointed Puneet Chhatwal, the Managing Director and CEO of Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), as its new chairman. This announcement follows the retirement of Nakul Anand from his position as executive director at ITC and as a member of the Hotel Association of India (HAI) Executive Committee.

Puneet Chhatwal, taking over the role with immediate effect, expressed his commitment to making FAITH a robust advocacy body for issues related to the tourism and hospitality industry. Rajiv Mehra, the honorary secretary of FAITH, made the announcement, highlighting Chhatwal's wealth of experience and profound understanding of the sector. 

"With the support of all the members I will strive to make FAITH, a strong policy advocacy body on issues related to tourism and hospitality industry and carry forward the legacy built by Mr Anand," said Chhatwal. FAITH, being the apex body of the private sector in India's tourism and hospitality industry, includes national associations such as the Hotel Association of India (HAI) among its members.

Chhatwal's appointment is expected to ensure the seamless continuation of FAITH's initiatives and objectives, further strengthening the industry association's role in policy advocacy within the sector.
