The 15th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 that kick-started on 26 March 2022 will host its closing ceremony on 29 May 2022 at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. This season saw the expansion of the league, with the addition of two new franchises.

Given the present COVID scenario, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will host the IPL closing ceremony after a three-year hiatus.

The BCCI began the tender process for staging the IPL 2022 closing ceremony on April 16, 2022. On payment of a non-refundable charge of INR 1,000,000, a 'Request for Proposal' (RFP) was made available. The RFP was available for purchase till April 25, 2022.

Dome Entertainment, DNA Networks, HQ Worldwide Shows, Showcraft Productions, Twenty First Century Media and Wizcraft International Entertainment are the six companies that are shortlisted for the prestigious bid. The bidder with maximum value and delivery in the auction will get the opportunity to host the IPL 2022 closing ceremony.

After reviewing the presentations from a few agencies, the BCCI has decided to have Ranveer Singh and AR Rahman perform at the closing ceremony.

Stay tuned to know which event company wins the bid as it will be the biggest IPL closing ceremony you have seen!
