When physical events ceased during the pandemic, virtual events proved to be a lifeline. According to Dhruv Davar, Chief Executive Officer of Inextis Events, the pandemic has created opportunities for new products and services in the event industry.

2021 was a funnel year, an eye-opener for a lot of event professionals to ask whether this is truly the industry for them. We lost a lot of talent for good and the ones left are probably here for good.
It also opened doors to new products and services we can offer enterprises. And an opportunity to be seen in a different light – the ones who could double down on this have truly formed relationships for life.
Physical events should be back by the end of 2022, of course provided there are no new mutations. But in 2023 normalcy will return for sure. Having said that, digital is here to stay!
