ABP News is Lead Sponsor of PKL’s UP Yoddha

UP Yoddha, a franchise of the Pro Kabaddi League, has roped in ABP News as its lead Principal Sponsor. The partnership was brought about by marketing agency Creatigies Communications.
The announcement was made alongside the team jersey unveiling at the ABP office in Noida, shortly after player auctions over three days in Mumbai ended on 31 August. The Vivo Pro Kabaddi League 2021 starts 24 December.
The jersey was unveiled by Avinash Pandey, Chief Executive Officer, ABP Network; Col. Vinod Bisht, Head Yoddha of UP Yoddha and CEO, GMR League Games; Navroze D Dhondy, Founder & Managing Director, Creatigies Communications; alongside UP Yoddha captain Nitesh Kumar and his teammates Ashu Singh, Sumit and Surinder Gill.
Pandey said, “We are extremely excited to be supporting UP Yoddha, one of the most promising teams in Pro Kabaddi League this season. Kabaddi, as a sport, has grown significantly over the years. Pro Kabaddi League has popularised the Indian-origin sport even more and has created a strong connection with sports lovers and younger audiences. Alongside UP Yoddha, we hope to make this season of Pro Kabaddi an incredibly engaging, memorable, and entertaining spectacle.”

During the player auctions, UP Yoddha made headlines with a successful bid of Rs. 1.65 cr for Pradeep Narwal, the highest bid for a player in the history of the PKL.
An official statement informed that the UP Yoddha players will train at the Yoddha Kabaddi Academy in Meerut.
