OML Entertainment, the content creator and talent management firm, has announced that its four year-old vertical Global Creator Network (GCN) vertical has clocked a turnover of Rs.105 crore for the 2020-21 fiscal.
In 2018-’19, the vertical had clocked a revenue of Rs. 51 crore and it has grown in the year ending March 2021 from its 2019-’20 turnover of Rs. 92 crore.
In October 2020, the company announced that GCN will continue handling digital content marketing for eight Bacardi brands across 15 countries, following a renewal of the mandate for a third successive year.
GCN currently claims a network of over 500 creators and influencers globally. Last year, it developed over 200 pieces of content for 20 brands across Asia, Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe.
Gunjan Arya, CEO – OML said, “A shift from live viewing towards the digital space due to the pandemic-related restrictions has further accelerated the already changing consumer pattern in India and across the globe. The new digital consumer is generating a huge demand for entertaining content that can be accessed anytime, anywhere. In the process, this consumer is creating a parallel universe of a growing network of content creators that are filling in that gap.”
Arya added, “GCN enables creators and brands to come together to create organic and meaningful two-way conversations that are more authentic and relevant. This in turn helps creators to economise their talents across platforms and genres in a way that is helping the booming creator economy and our brands, deliver more efficiency than they have seen with any of their other traditional or digital marketing efforts — a fact strongly validated by our INR 100 cr. turnover during a challenging fiscal.”
GCN client brands include Netflix, Levi’s, Royal Enfield, Amazon, OnePlus, UpGrad, Cred and Zomato.
In 2018-’19, the vertical had clocked a revenue of Rs. 51 crore and it has grown in the Covid-hit year ending March 2021 from its 2019-’20 turnover of Rs. 92 crore.
