Indian Pro Music League Opening Ceremony Held on the Sets Ahead of its Launch on Zee TV this Month

Music follows the league pattern of sports as Zee TV is all set to launch the ‘Indian Pro Music League’ on television this month, with actor Salman Khan as the face of the show. The opening ceremony held on February 4, 2021 at the set of the league was attended by Bollywood celebrities and popular artistes.

The launch event was hosted by Karan Wahi and Waluscha De Sousa. The Indian Pro Music League will go on air on Zee TV and Zee5. Zee Studios will be the creative and production house on the show.

The championship will have six teams, each having a popular celebrity as its ambassador. Shraddha Kapoor, Govinda, Rajkummar Rao, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol and Suresh Raina will be representing different regions of India in this musical championship.

Each of these teams will also have playback singers, one male and one female vocalist as their captains. Kailash Kher, Sajid Khan, Mika Singh, Shaan, Javed Ali, Asees Kaur, Bhoomi Trivedi, AritiKakar, Ankit Tiwari, Neha Bhasin, Shilpa Rao will be seen leading teams.

Additionally, reality stars like Hemant Brijwasi, Salman Ali and JyoticaTangri among others will be part of these teams, along with some fresh voices.

Akin to the format of a sports league, the show will have five innings comprising the league matches and a super match where audience votes and umpire points will decide the outcome of the league and declare one of the teams as the league champion.

Karan Wahi said, “I hosted the previous season of DID on Zee TV and it’s always good to be back. Indian Pro Music League is a unique concept and I am quite excited to host a star-studded show with all these phenomenal singers and big Bollywood celebrities on board. I was really excited when the makers approached me for the show and I took it up at once.”
