‘Go Swadeshi’, a Handloom Exhibition by GoCoop to Support Artisans, Begins Tomorrow in Bangalore

Online marketplace GoCoop is all set to host a new edition of the handloom exhibition ‘Go Swadeshi’ from January 20-24, 2021 at Shilpakala Kalyana Mantapa, Bangalore. The exhibition will showcase a wide range of handloom sarees, fabrics, dress materials, stoles, dupattas, menswear, home décor and accessory products by weavers and artisans from across India.

The five-day event aims at helping artisans wade through the pandemic woes and reinstate the pride in hand-spun, hand-woven and handcrafted products.
‘Go Swadeshi’ by GoCoop is intended at supporting artisans market their products and help the sector recover from the impact of the pandemic and also offer the latest collections to customers. To facilitate safe shopping, all safety measures are being put in place for the well-being of artisans and also customers visiting the event.

‘Go Swadeshi’ has a mix of contemporary and traditional handlooms being presented by weavers from Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
The event will showcase the rich handloom tradition of India and give a unique opportunity for weavers and artisans to sell their produce directly to consumers for them to make a style statement of going Swadeshi.
