Goa Government Percept Live Sunburn Festival
The government of Goa Friday revoked the in-principle permission granted to Percept Live’s Sunburn EDM festival, which was slated to take place from 27 to 29 December 2020 in Vagator.
The festival had originally been allowed with 20 percent capacity following Covid19 protocols, following which Percept Live had started promoting the same. Ticket sales started on 4 November. Organisers had planned to live-stream the event on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to augment audiences.
The Goa government decision follows opposition from the public as well as political parties for allowing the event during the Covid19 pandemic.
