#ArtMatters and Ojas Arts’ ‘Fables of the Earth’ Showcases Indigenous Art

ArtMatters Ojas Arts Fables of the Earth
Ojas Art, a pioneer of contemporary art in India, and #ArtMatters, an ongoing fundraising initiative for artistes by the Teamwork Fine Arts Society, have announced the launch of a digital initiative, Fables of the Earth.
Fables of the Earth will feature a curated virtual exhibition of 100 exclusive artworks by 10 celebrated Indian artists across the four disciplines of Gond, Madhubani-Mithila, Bheel and Warli. The exhibition is being hosted from 6th to 20th August.
Besides offering connoisseurs a channel for interacting with the artists and their art in the digital realm, it will also enable the online sales of the artworks on show. The artworks will be priced between Rs. 5,000 and Rs.2,40,000.
Keeping the creators and their narratives at the forefront, organisers said, Fables of the Earth will showcase works by award-winning artists; stalwarts, who are renowned in their respective genres for carrying forward their legacy and for carving out a contemporary idiom for their work.

It is a unique initiative by the Ojas Art Gallery and #ArtMatters to draw support for the numerous indigenous (tribal and traditional) artists, who for centuries have been preserving our stories through their craft. Keeping the creators and their narratives at the forefront, Fables of the Earth provides art enthusiasts an opportunity to explore Indian indigenous art within the digital realm like never before.”

The digital platform has been designed by XR Central. NetproPhets Cyberworks is another technology partner for the initiative.
