Day 2 At EEMAgine 2019 Sees Insightful Discussions, Power Packed Performance By Kailash Kher & More!

After a successful inaugural session at EEMAgine 2019, day two of the convention started on a high note. The session kicked off in a unique way as the speakers went for a musical face-off where the different aspects of agency and client were explained by Brian Tellis, Director, Fountainhead MKTG., Samit Garg, Co-Founder & CEO, E-Factor Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Vishal Malik, Director, Operations and Administration McKinsey and Company, India and Krishnan Chatterjee, Chief Customer Officer and Head of Marketing, SAP Indian Subcontinent. The different aspects included expectations v/s reality of the budget, 24x7 availability, creative fees, last-minute changes, value v/s freebies, and late payments.

Further, Neelesh Misra, Indian Journalist spoke about his vision on launching a show on children storytellers on the radio. He also put some light on the accidental discovery of spoken words that touched every household in the country.

Neelam Kapur, DG, Sports Authority of India said, “Brands are now sponsoring sports events which have helped in the development of sports industry in our country. It also has the power to change a lot of young lives. And I see a great future in the sporting industry for India.”
Later, the day moved to a Round Table covering the following sessions -
Adapt or Perish: Technology where the speakers discussed their thoughts on how technology has redefined the Events and experiential Industry as Jaspreet Bindra, Founder of Digital Matters gave a peek into the future. The speakers at this session were Pramod Gaikwad, CEO and Partner, ICE Global, Milind Pathak, Senior Vice President, Paytm, Lydia Buthello, Head Brand Experience, and Events - Star Network and Krishnan Chatterjee, Chief Customer Officer and Head of Marketing, SAP Indian Subcontinent.

The next session was Bharat Mata Ki Jai – Brand India where moderator Karishma Hundalani, Head - Brand, and Content at EVENTFAQS Media Pvt. Ltd discussed with the session panelist their experience and thoughts on how do we leverage the opportunity in spreading wings and providing services across the world by taking brand India globally.
During this session, Rukmini Chatterjee, Choreographer, and Dancer shared her experience, “Speaking about taking brand India globally, I always think about how do I connect with the audience all around the world. I started to choreograph the performances by bringing the world together through dance and music. I believe arts retain its own identity and tradition and we can connect only when we tell a simple universal story.”
Sharing his thoughts, Anuj Talukder, Creative Director, Reliance Performing Arts said, “Firstly we need to explore and take Indian content to an international platform. But if we limit ourselves in believing that India is defined by the purest dance which makes the economics very tough as we have hundreds of dance forms in this country which appeals to the sensibility universally. Also, we should change the way we look at this and limit our audience across the world.”
Further, Dr. Suresh K Goel, Director General – EEMA said, “We need to work out on how to make an impact on others so that the world says ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. While we experience cultural imperialism, we need to respect other cultures too. We need to get out of the comfort zones and give people what they want by appealing to each and every person and taking arts to the world and making it work.”
The next session was, Dil Mangta Hain More where the panelist discussed how weddings are at the forefront of innovation, design, technology and unique experiences along with the best space in the new horizons! For this session, the speakers were Sumant Jayakrishnan, Owner, Sumant Jayakrishnan Design Pvt Ltd., Vandana Mohan, Founder, Backstage Productions, Samit Garg, Co-Founder & CEO, E-Factor Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Raseel Gujral Ansal, Lifestyle designer. Founder, Casa Paradox & Casa POP and Chetan Vohra, Founder and Managing Director of twin brands Line Communications and Weddingline.
Boon or Bane: Taxes, where direct taxation takes a significant chunk of our revenue, was discussed by Prasanna Dash, Member of CBDT, Government of India as he spoke about the need for compliance along with Vivek Singh, Jt. MD, Procam International Pvt Limited and Lalit Gattani, Chief Executive Officer, Showcraft Production Pvt Ltd.
Chal Chal Chal Mere Saathi: The Travel Experience where case presentations on the travel and trade experiences were discussed along with experts sharing new ideas and future trends in destination travel. The speakers were Rohit Kohli, Joint Managing Director- Creative Travel Group, Atul Chabra, Enthuse Answers and Biswajit Chakraborty, General Manager at Pullman and Novotel, New Delhi.
Everybody Screamed! As accidents and fires are on the rise, members shared experiences and discussed key practices and guidelines that should be followed by setting up an event to prevent disaster from striking along with Arpeet Gupta, Yellow Rental, Biju Varghese, Director, THOT Media Pvt Ltd. and Khushroo Kekobad, Founder and Managing Director of twin brands Line Communications and Weddingline, Vaibhav Kapoor, Head Projects - Third Wave Services Pvt Ltd., Karan Chettri, Founder and CEO ESP, 360 Degree and Siddharth Ganeriwala, Founder and Director at Aura Integrated Solutions Pvt Ltd.
After lunch, the day further resumed to another Round Table covering the following sessions -

In this session building trust and building reputations is a long haul: is there a magic solution behind this was discussed by Ruhail Amin, Deputy Editor, Business World and Everything Experiential, Anurag Batra, Chairman & Editor in Chief, BW Businessworld, Shivjeet Khullar, CEO, NFX Digital, Giraj Sharma, Founder and Director, Behind The Moon Consultants and Mukund Padmanabhan, Former Editor of The Hindu.
Dirty Dancing where dancers and choreographers shared issues that they face in the run-up to D-day. The speakers were Amrita Joshi,Performer / Artist, Ritu Kapoor, Founder and Director, Zenith Dance Insititute Pvt Ltd. and Prerna Saxena, Founder and CEO, Theme Weavers International Pvt Ltd.
We Care - This session brought together those who drafted the Vishakha Guidelines and those who represent the live industry, to discuss the merits and probable misuse of the guidelines. Highlights of the session are - The Good | The Bad | The Ugly sides of this fast-growing event industry!

Internet of Events by exploring new boundaries and creating of online communities with allied interests was discussed by Shivjeet Khullar, CEO – NFX Digital, Anuradha Sehgal, National Head - New Initiatives, Hindustan Times Media Limited and Siddharth Kedia, Head - Strategy and Data Sciences, Viacom18.

The closing plenary session also witnessed some spectacular performance by singer Kailash Kher and A R Devine making the audience groove to their soulful renders.

Finally, as day 2 of the event came to an end, Sabbas Joseph, Founder-Director, Wizcraft Pvt Ltd. addressing at the Closing Plenary Session said, "Event industry, as we know it, will die. Experiential, immersive, active marketing drives value for the customer. This makes the customer journey, so that the content doesn't just bring customers to the platforms, but it keeps them hooked."
