EEMAgine 2019 Kicks Off With Its Largest Delegation Ever!

EEMAgine started on a bright and positive note under the theme of Integrate, Innovate and Inspire in its 2019 edition. Day 1 of the convention began with an Inaugural Session hosted by industry favourite EMCEE Gitikka Ganju Dhar, admist a colourful and entertaining ‘Swagatam’ at Hotel Pullman, Aerocity, Delhi on August 1, 2019.

During the inaugural session Brian Tellis, Group Chairman, Fountainhead MKTG, crooned few lines from the song Imagine by John Lennon as he aspired to share the message of Industry growth through Integration, Innovation, and Inspiration. A tribute was also offered to the pioneers from the industry during this session.

Further, Dilip Chenoy, Secretary-General, FICCI and Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman, Niti Aayog shared their views on how Event Industry is looked upon as the booming industry and how technology is playing an important role to grow as an industry globally.

In this session a report on health and safety was released by Sanjoy Roy, MD, Teamwork Arts, and President, EEMA, Sanjeev Pasricha, Group CEO, CS Direkt, Sabbas Joseph, Founder – Director, Wizcraft International Pvt Ltd, Khushroo Keokobadv, Founder and Managing Director of twin brands Line Communication and Weddingline, Abhishek Mehta, CEO and Founder of Scoop Brand Holdings, Bijju Varghese, Director, Thot Media Pvt Ltd and Maneck Dastur, K M Dastur Reinsurance brokers.

Sharing his thoughts on the growth of the industry, Sanjoy Roy, MD, Teamwork Arts, and President, EEMA  said, “Event industry is continuing to grow at the rate of 17% annually  (according to EY) and over 30000 professionals are employed in this industry. At EEMA we endeavour to bring together as many from this under one umbrella. Because we need our voices to be heard, and we can do that only with a large number of a representative who will collectively take it to the highest stable of government. Perhaps we have an opportunity to reduce GST, rationalize tender processes and other very prominent efforts to develop the industry.”

After the successful Inaugural Session, it further moved to Plenary Session which was conducted by Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairmen, Niti Aayog.

Further, the day moved to a Round Table covering the following sessions -

Money Money Money: It's a rich man's world! where they spoke about Investments & How to raise capital to grow your business along with P Sudhir Rao, Managing Partner, WRVI Capital – India, Rajeev Agrawal, Founding Managing Partner at Ambit Pragm, Mohit Satyanand, Co-founder Teamwork Arts.

The next session was Name of The Game: Expanding Business Opportunities where they discussed about exploring new opportunites for the event industry along with Ujjwal K Chowdhury, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean, School of Media, Communication and Fashion, Adamas University, Jonathan Kennedy, Director Arts India, British Council, Rahul Dutta, Head of Marketing for Printers at HP India, Reema Sanghavi, Founder and MD Maxiums Mice and Media Solutions Pvt Ltd. and Karan Chaudhri, Team Leader, Marketing Strategy, Budgeting, Events and Sponsorships, BMW India.
