Landestheater Linz Invites Ashley Lobo For Choreographing A Special Piece ‘Yama’ In Austria

Landestheater Linz recently invited Indian-Australian choreographer Ashley Lobo to create an abstract contemporary dance theatre piece titled ‘Yama’ based on the the Hindu god of death and the underworld. This show used Ashley’s unique technique called Prana Paint. It was premiered on May 25th in Austria. This was a milestone for the choreographer as he becomes the only Indian to put together a full-length 55-minute piece at the Austrian ballet company.

Ashley Lobo, who has also choreographed over twenty Bollywood films combined western dance movements with connectivity, yoga, breath and touch, and thereby created the PranaPaint & Flow technique has also done this show in Poland and Germany and Austria is the third country.  Both in film and theatre, he is known for producing work with a uniquely strong sense of connection, which he has developed through his PranaPaint
