The Pioneer of Stand-up Comedy in India Makes His Come-Back at WOW Awards Asia 2018

For those of us who’ve been around long enough, we know well of the multi-talented Ash Chandler. An actor, singer, comedian, and host, Ash has been a household name in delivering events requiring a classy, chic edge. The industry got to experience him weave his magic yet again, at Ash’s official ‘comeback’, with the WOW Awards Asia 2018. Ash has been on a 2-year hiatus in the USA pursuing his acting career in Hollywood and theatre, while also putting together a fresh new jazz band.

Audiences got the whole nine yards of Ash Chandler at WOW 2018, while he belted out classic songs, medleyed with the latest hits; kept audiences asking for more with his stand-up comedy; and took guests through the segments of the awards, all with great finesse.

It's a little-known fact that Ash is, in fact, the pioneer of stand-up comedy in India, delivering a full 60-minute stand-up comedy act, solo, way back in 1998, when the genre of stand-up comedy was unknown in India. It's this impeccable talent of Ash, that earned him a standing ovation after the inaugural segment of the WOW Awards 2018, when EEMA-President Sanjoy Roy, urged audiences to showcase their appreciation for the talented host.

All-in-all the evening of the WOW Awards Asia 2018, at the Andaz Hotel New Delhi Aerocity on June 30, turned out to be an outstanding celebration for the experiential industry, hosted to perfection by Ash Chandler!
